If you tried using touch screen protectors and phone screen protectors before, chances are your experience with these products wasn't good. That's because earlier versions of these types of products were a good idea in theory. Among the biggest problems with early touch screen protectors was the bulk that went along with all that protection. The plastic pieces weren't always cut to size which made it difficult to neatly wrap the pieces around corners. Unless you had a degree in gift wrapping, it was practically impossible to end up with a touch screen protector fit that was both functional and attractive.

Another big problem with LG Shine accessories designed to protect the touch screens and other parts of those gadgets was the adhesive. If you did manage to cut those pieces down to size and stick them on the gadget rather than the surface you were working on, oftentimes you could not get that plastic off. If you didn't stick the piece just right on your first attempt you usually didn't get a second chance. Many of the adhesives that claimed not to be permanent had to be pried off. And once pried off, many gadget owners were surprised - and annoyed - to find that the adhesive left behind a sticky residue.
